Ensure the smooth operation of the wire drawing equipment: each wire drawing drum wheel and wire guide wheel should be smooth and flexible, and its runout tolerance should be strictly controlled. If the drum wheel and guide wheel are found to have wear grooves, they should be repaired in time.
Good lubrication conditions are important conditions for ensuring the surface quality of the wire and extending the life of the die. The lubrication index should be checked regularly, and the copper powder and impurities in the lubricating oil should be removed so that it does not pollute the equipment and die holes. If the lubrication fails, it should be replaced in time and the lubrication system should be cleaned.
Reasonable die matching is the key factor to ensure the surface quality of the wire, control the size accurately and consistently, reduce the wear of the wire drawing drum wheel, and reduce the operating load of the equipment. For sliding wire drawing machines, it is the first step to match the die to be familiar with the mechanical elongation of the equipment and reasonably select the sliding coefficient.
Select the die hole type according to the material of the wire being drawn and the surface reduction rate of each wire drawing. Generally speaking, the harder the wire being drawn, the smaller the compression angle of the die and the longer the sizing area; vice versa. The area reduction rate of each wire drawing is also closely related to the compression angle of the corresponding die. The size of the compression angle should be appropriately adjusted according to the size of the area reduction rate.
